Fits the buyer choosing between custom and production: Shane's custom route or Pacesetter's ready plans, both under one of the lowest tax rates in the 29-city sheet.
The tax math
Property tax is a rate per $100 of value. A rate of 1.586907 means you pay $1.586907 for every $100 of taxed value.
| City of Rockwall | 0.258007 |
|---|---|
| Rockwall County | 0.262000 |
| Rockwall ISD | 1.066900 |
| Total | 1.586907 per $100 |
The City of Rockwall rate is official under Ordinance No. 26-50, passed September 28, 2026. Three separate reads of the ordinance confirmed it. The county portal still showed "Not Published" the last time I checked.
Here's an example. On a $500,000 home, $500,000 × 0.01586907 = $7,934.54 a year, or about $661 a month, in property tax. That's plain math on the rate. Your real bill depends on your taxed value and any exemptions. Try the Texas Tax Trap Calculator or the monthly payment calculator with your own price.

- Shane Homes: up to $25,000 toward a new Park Hills home. You can use it toward the price, design center upgrades or a lower rate with Shane's preferred lender. It can't be combined with other offers. Shane can change or end it at any time, and no end date is listed. Confirm with the builder's sales office.
- Pacesetter Homes: rates as low as 4.49% for the first year. This is a Dallas-wide offer, and it shows on the Park Hills page too. It's a 1-year temporary buydown. That means a lower rate for year 1, then the full rate after that. FHA and VA loans start at 4.49%, then go to 5.49% (6.263% APR). Conventional loans start at 4.99%, then go to 5.99% (6.057% APR). You have to use Pacesetter's preferred lender and title company. The home must be under contract by Oct. 31, 2026. Confirm with the builder's sales office.
